The project focuses on establishing a robust and sustainable Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at Khulna University to bridge the gap between academic research and industry needs. Key components include infrastructure development, capacity building, intellectual property (IP) management, and fostering industry-academia collaboration. The TTO will serve as a central hub for innovation, research commercialization, and entrepreneurship development. The project will involve setting up a dedicated TTO office, hiring skilled personnel, and developing policies for IP management and technology licensing. Activities include organizing training on IP rights, innovation, and commercialization; creating a database of research outputs; and facilitating networking events between researchers and industry stakeholders. Methods include stakeholder consultations, training programs, and partnerships with national and international TTOs for knowledge exchange. The TTO is expected to strengthen industry-academia partnerships, leading to collaborative research projects and technology transfers. It will enhance the commercialization of research outputs and increase IP filings. Strategies: Strategies include capacity building for researchers, creating a robust IP framework, and promoting a culture of innovation. The TTO will leverage the ATF HEAT project’s resources and KU’s contribution to ensure sustainability and scalability. The establishment of the TTO will drive socio-economic development in the Khulna region by translating academic research into marketable solutions. It will create job opportunities, promote entrepreneurship, and contribute to national innovation goals.
