In vitro evaluation of the potentiality of Trichoderma harzianum (Rifai) against some seed and soil treating chemicals

An experiment was conducted in the plant protection laboratory of Agrotechnology Discipline Khulna University, Khulna to evaluate the potentiality of Trichoderma harzianum to grow over the effect of some seed and soil treating chemicals namely Carbendazim, Mancozeb. Mancozeb+Metalaxyl, Carbofuran, Iprodine, Carboxin+ Thiram at different concentrations (1000ppm, 2000ppm and 3000ppm) and bleaching powder (25ppm, 50ppm and 100 ppm) on the radial growth. A hundred percent of mycelial growth was inhibited with the application of Carbendazim, Iprodione, and Carboxin+ Thiram at all concentrations. mancozeb+ Metalaxyl, Carbofuran, and bleaching powder were less inhibitory effects against Trichoderma harzianum
