Developing an Integrated Community-based Participatory Approach in Managing Built-Heritage: An Empirical Study on Bangladesh

In the research, the focus will be made on the following fields: community participation and heritage management. Although the subject field is quite popular in the relevant academic literature. But this particular research will discourse the capacity of the community by linking the existing theoretical understanding of the community participatory framework. Therefore, it will be an important contribution to the subject field as we will be able to understand, whether a particular community can manage any heritage site or not. Under this particular research toolbox of indicators will be developed to generalize a community participation-based management system for the built heritage sites. Outputs of this research are expected to contribute to the development of a more inclusive management practice of the built heritage sites in both national and global contexts.
