I am Rawnak Hasan, an artist, researcher, and Assistant Professor in the Sculpture Discipline at Khulna University. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the University of Rajshahi and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. My artistic practice critically engages with questions of materiality and sustainability, focusing on the transformation of discarded materials into sculptural forms and installations that stimulate dialogue on ecological and social concerns. In addition to my studio practice, my creative pursuits extend to music and photography, which further inform my interdisciplinary approach to art-making and research. My scholarly interests include upcycling, cultural approaches to reuse, art criticism, gender in the arts, and Bangladeshi art, with a particular emphasis on the development of sustainable artistic practices.
