Mr. Karimul Hoque has completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2013 and 2015 respectively.. After his M.Sc. he worked as a lecturer at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, Dhaka. In 2016 he joined Physics discipline as a lecturer and currently he has been working as an assistant professor at the same discipline since 2018. Apart from his academic activities, he accomplished different administrative duties in discipline as well as in residential hall. During his M.Sc. he conducted research on synthesis and characterization of DDA-MMT modified Ni-Cu Ferrite compounds.
He was awarded a research grant amount 5000 USD from the Khulna University Research Cell to accomplish his project entitled “Hydrothermal Synthesis of Transition Metals Oxide based Nanomaterials: Optical and Structural Properties”. At present, he is actively engaged in a research project entitled "First principles study of 211 MAX phase borides (M = Transition metal, A = Al/Ga, X = B)", financed by Khulna University Research Cell.
