Abstract
A sustainable and efficient way to meet food security concerns for the expanding population's food needs, especially for urbanization and climate change, aeroponics farming is becoming more and more essential because of its ability to produce large yields of crops with minimal water and land. Since sustainable aeroponics farming is a new emerging technique, there can be challenges to its spread regarding farmer participation and consumer acceptance. Hence, this study has proposed a mathematical model with an optimization approach to investigate the dynamics for the adoption of farmers as well as consumers for taking aeroponically grown products. Some of the parts in the analytical approach include determining the model's existence and uniqueness, stability at equilibrium points, and characteristics with regard to state variables, as well as doing sensitivity analysis to identify sensitive factors. In addition, the numerical simulations were conducted using the Runge-Kutta 4th order and Simpson's 3/8 rule integration algorithms. The findings of this study highlight the need for targeted strategies at an optimized level to incentives for farmers and comprehensive awareness programs to inform consumers about the advantages of aeroponically grown produce. However, it is recommended that governments need to collaborate with social service organizations to create a policy that encourages farmers to use sustainable aeroponics farming practices and to reach out to the public in an effort to increase demand for products produced in the process.
