Goal Programming Approach to Restaurant Business

Restaurant is a place of business where customers are served with food and beverages and customers have the provision for both dine in and take out. Restaurant business helps in the growth of economy and reduction of unemployment problem. A proper business planning is a key condition of successful restaurant business. In this project thesis a goal programming approach is used to get optimal solution in restaurant business. For this purpose necessary primary data are collected from a certain restaurant in Khulna. Then a preemptive goal programming model is formulated with two objectives, and they are minimizing the production cost and maximizing the sales profit of the restaurant. The LINDO optimizer solver is used to achieve the required goals.
