Dr. Tarun Kanti Bose
is a Professor in the Business Administration Discipline at Khulna University,
Bangladesh. His primary research interests lie in International Business,
particularly its intersections with Entrepreneurship and Development. He has
published 63 research articles in both national and international journals, which
have collectively garnered nearly 1,500 citations on Google Scholar.
Many of his works
appear in highly regarded journals listed in prominent academic rankings such
as the Academic Journal Guide (AJG) by the Chartered Association of Business
Schools (UK), VHB-JOURQUAL 3 by the German Academic Association of Business
Research (Germany and Switzerland), and the Australian Business Deans Council
(ABDC). Some of the notable journals in which his research has been featured

Dr. Bose completed
his post-doctoral fellowship at the Research Institute of International
Management (FIM-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland. During
this period, he focused extensively on the roles of technology and
entrepreneurship in improving the livelihoods of marginalized producers and
rural communities in emerging economies. He earned his PhD in International
Business from the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, UK, where
his research explored internationalization strategies—particularly
networking—adopted by firms from emerging markets in the face of institutional
challenges.
Following his PhD
and post-doctoral research, Dr. Bose continued to collaborate on research
projects with scholars from diverse backgrounds. His ongoing work addresses a
range of contemporary topics in international business and entrepreneurship,
including the institutional impacts on international trade, the dynamics of
global politics and trade, internationalization strategies of emerging market firms,
female and marginal entrepreneurship, and development issues linked to global
commerce and entrepreneurial growth.
With nearly 18 years
of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Bose has been affiliated with
academic institutions in Bangladesh, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and
Switzerland. He has a strong passion for teaching subjects such as Economics,
International Business, Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Strategy, and
Research Methodology. Through his academic work, he aims to bridge theoretical
and practical insights in the fields of economics, international trade,
entrepreneurship, and development.
Dr. Bose also
actively contributes to the academic community as a peer reviewer for several
esteemed international journals, including International Business Review
(Elsevier), International Marketing Review (Emerald), International Small
Business Journal (Sage), and Journal of East-West Business (Taylor &
Francis).
