Internationalization of firms from emerging market has been studied in extant literature from different perspectives like Uppsala stages perspective of firm life cycle, resource-based view, innovation perspective, network perspective, transaction cost perspective, entrepreneurial orientation, etc. However, there is scarcity of literature which are focused on internationalization of firms from the entrepreneurial ecosystem perspective with the theoretical underpinning of institutional theory and resource based theory. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the role of entrepreneurial ecosystem in internationalization of software and information services firms of Bangladesh through the lens of institutional theory and resource based theory.
