Institution-based Behavioural Nudges as Catalysts for Entrepreneurial Intentions among University Students: A Quasi-Experimental Study

Bangladesh is constantly growing in its economy, and entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in enhancing it. Against the backdrop of the continuous economic growth of the country, policymakers aim to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem across diverse institutional contexts. The project seeks to investigate the influence of institution-based nudges on entrepreneurial intention in dynamic economic landscape of Bangladesh. The primary objective is to identify whether behavioural nudges prove most effective in promoting entrepreneurial intention. By employing pre-program and post-program settings, the research aims to provide nuanced insights into the behavioural shifts induced by these nudges. Employing a quasi-experimental research design, the study utilizes Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) analysis to discern the impact of specific institution-based nudges on entrepreneurial intention. This analytical approach allows for a comprehensive understanding of the factors that contribute to entrepreneurial intention, offering policymakers, educators, and practitioners valuable information. The significance of this research lies in its potential to inform targeted policies and educational programs. Understanding which institution-based nudges are most influential enables the development of strategic interventions that cultivate a more supportive environment for entrepreneurship. The study aligns with the broader goal of increasing the number of entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, contributing to the sustainable development of a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. This research addresses a crucial aspect of economic development, offering practical insights to stakeholders involved in shaping the entrepreneurial landscape in Bangladesh.
