Dr. Md. Mourtuza Ahamed is an experienced and dedicated associate professor with over 18 years of expertise in higher education, specializing in human resource management, leadership, and employee performance. A proven curriculum designer and engaging instructor, Dr. Ahamed is deeply committed to mentoring students to achieve measurable outcomes.

As a published researcher, he has contributed extensively to peer-reviewed journals and led successful grant-funded projects, focusing on the impact of leadership on service performance. Dr. Ahamed is adept at integrating technology into teaching, assessing student learning outcomes, and fostering collaboration with faculty and stakeholders to ensure academic excellence.

Recognized for exceptional communication skills, strong leadership, and a genuine passion for guiding the next generation of leaders and professionals, Dr. Ahamed brings an inspiring vision to the academic community.

He currently serves as an associate professor in the Department of Business Administration at Khulna University, Bangladesh. Dr. Ahamed earned his Ph.D. in Business from Sunway University in Malaysia and holds a BBA and an MBA from the University of Dhaka. Additionally, he completed an Advanced Diploma in Personnel Management from the Bangladesh Institute of Management, Dhaka.

Dr. Ahamed’s research spans the following critical areas: Leadership and Employee Performance; Sustainability and Green Practices; Empowerment and Organizational Effectiveness; Consumer Behavior and Digital Transformation; and Workforce Well-being and Sectoral Studies.

  • Md. Mourtuza Ahamed holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business from Sunway Business School, Sunway University, Malaysia. Additionally, a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management was earned from the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM), Bangladesh. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management Studies were both completed at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Dr. Md. Mourtuza Ahamed's research interests encompass a diverse range of critical topics that influence organizational dynamics and workplace well-being. Key areas of focus include leadership, with an emphasis on its role in shaping organizational culture and driving performance, as well as service performance, exploring strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and improve operational efficiency. Significant attention is also given to employee empowerment, examining methods to foster autonomy, motivation, and engagement among team members. Research in talent management highlights the importance of identifying and nurturing high-potential individuals to ensure sustainable organizational success.
Additional areas of exploration by Dr. Ahamed include labor relations, with a focus on fostering harmonious employer-employee interactions and resolving workplace conflicts effectively. Sensitive yet pivotal issues such as sexual harassment in the workplace are also addressed, with the aim of contributing to the development of safer and more inclusive environments through actionable research and practical policy recommendations.
