Changes &Challenges of Printmaking Practice: Perspective Khulna University

This paper is intended to the issue of configurations of Khulna’s printmaking practice  as manifested in the art of Bangladesh .Though the art practice of Khulna area was started academically in the beginning   of the 19^th century  which was founded by the artist Shasi Bhusion, the practice of  printmaking received vast popularity with the establishment of Institute of fine arts in Khulna University in 2010.It focuses on artistic practices in Khulna University that represented the southern region of Bangladesh.This Paper analyzes the multiple reading and roles  of printmaking  in the construction of identity and how this practice of Khulna University has continued to provide a rich source for fine artists to draw upon.
