Sayed Azharul Islam is an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management Discipline at Khulna University. He joined this university on September 04, 2018 as a Lecturer at Human Resource Management Discipline.
Mr. Islam started his teaching career as a
Lecturer of Management at the Department of Business Administration in Bangladesh
Army University of Science & Technology (BAUST), Saidpur Cantonment.
Besides teaching, he is carrying experience of working as an HR professional as well. He worked at ACI Limited Corporate HRD as HR Executive. However, he started his full-time career with NOMAN GROUP, one of the largest RMG Group of Companies in the country.
Mr. Islam completed BBA in Management and MBA in HRM from the Department of Management, University of Dhaka. He is now on study leave for pursuing Master of Public Management degree from KDI School of Public Policy and Management, South Korea.

Compliance is relatively a new concept in the field of human resource
management that refers to the laws, rules, standards, code of conduct, best
practices which an organization must follow while performing the functions of
HRM. HR Compliance generally covers multiple areas like Basics of HR Compliance, Employment, Technical & Social Compliance, C-TPAT, COC, TQM, International Standards (ILO, ISO, SAI-SA 8000, BSCI, ETI, FLA, WRAP), Buyers' Code of Conduct, Occupational Health, Safety
& Environment, Social Compliance Audit, HR Documentation, Human Rights at Workplace, Decent Work, Sustainable
Development Goals and so on. |
Metrics and Decision Making for Human Resource Management
This course aims at making students capable of solving
business and HR-related problems using proper metrics for ensuring data-driven
decision making in the organization. This course is commonly known as HR
analytics in the industry. Some of the covered topics in this course are
business analytics, HR decision making process, RCA (root cause analysis), HR
big data, HRIS, HR software, problem solving, recruitment & selection
metrics, learning & development metrics, performance management metrics, organizational
effectiveness metrics, compensation metrics, survey for HR data, data
collection, data analysis using different tools, HR report preparation,
visualization of HR data, HR scorecard, and so on. After completing this
course, a student gets adequate knowledge and skill of making scientific
decisions based on metrics which make them capable of helping internal
customers of an organization as a true HR business partner (HRBP). |
Applied Human Resource Development
AHRD is an advanced level course offered to the learners of
MBA in HRM program. This course offers both theoretical and practical learning
experience to the students covering issues like overview of HRD process, HRD
needs assessment, Adult Learning, HRD program design, HRD program
implementation, E-learning, HRD program evaluation, management development
program, team building, employee engagement, and so on. Besides, on-campus
learning initiatives, students are provided with opportunity of listening from
HRD professionals working in different MNCs, GOs, NGOs, and local corporate
houses. After successful completion of this course, a student becomes capable
of working efficiently in training & development department of any kind of
organization. |
