Md. Mahbub Hossain is currently a Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering
Discipline, Khulna University, Bangladesh where he has been a faculty member
since December 2005. Md. Mahbub Hossain
completed his BSc and MSc Engineering from Electronics and Communication
Engineering Discipline, Khulna University, Khulna-9208, Bangladesh. Later, He
completed a Ph.D. from Department of Electrical and Electronic
Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology
(BUET), Dhaka-1205, Bangladesh. His research areas includes different 2D material-based
optical biosensors design and characterization. Moreover, he has involved to
design and develop various photonic crystal fiber-based devices. Md. Mahbub Hossain has published
many journal articles and book chapters in the area of plasmonics, photonic crystal fiber, and erbium doped fiber laser. He has collaborated widely with
researchers from allied disciplines from home and abroad. He has supervised
numerous undergraduate and graduate students for their research work leading to
academic degree programs. He has also acted as reviewer in some renowned journals related to his research field.
