To explore social status of elderly people in urban Bangladesh and endeavor to inquire about the factors

that distress the socio-economic status of the old aged people in urban Bangladesh.

Specific Objectives:

To have an insight over the relationship between age, position & control over the family.

To explore the economic and psychological alienation of the aged people.

To identify the participation of aged people & their social response in their community activities.
