I always try  to develop my capacity both in the academic and institutional arena. Being a faculty member of development studies I must say human well being and development is supplementary of each other. I would like to conduct research on imperative inclusive sustainable issues to execute innovative findings. As I’m considering accumulation of knowledge on the technical skills focusing on the area of my research interest.

    I am very passionate about inclusive development and social change by providing transformative support to vulnerable and marginalized groups. Additionally, my focus is on ensuring sustainable economic livelihoods by implementing climate-resilient initiatives, which promote urban development and social cohesion.

    I also aim to create innovative models and strategies for promoting livelihood transformation, as well as developing an alternative system that links with development policies in Bangladesh. I believe these initiatives can help achieve genuine empowerment as well as sustainable economic growth and progress for our country.

Umme Habiba is recently working as an Assistant Professor in the Development Studies Discipline at Khulna University. She usually teaches courses on the environment, climate change, Project management, and NGOs at undergraduate and graduate levels. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science (honors) and a Master of Development Studies from Khulna University, Bangladesh. Her research interest includes various subject materials under the broader academic field of Environment, Climate change, and public health. She has published several research articles in different peer-reviewed journals collectively on her research interest. She has also supervised more than 38 undergraduate and graduate students. She also served as the Assistant Director of Student Affairs at Khulna University.

Apart from that, she has also experienced working with local NGOs (Dalith) regarding Climate Change and Human Rights Community development issues. Currently, she is working on issues related to Climate change, Maternal Health care services, and Disaster preparedness which is associated with the educational Development of Bangladesh.
