Abdul Elah Al-Mahde is a Lecturer in Development Studies at Khulna University. He completed both his Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) and Master of Development Studies from Khulna University, achieving excellent academic results.
Before joining Khulna University, he served as a Lecturer at the National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER), a constituent institute of the University of Dhaka, and taught as an adjunct faculty member at several universities in Khulna.
Mr. Al-Mahde has extensive research experience, having worked as a Research Associate at the Association of Workers for Alternative Rural Development (AWARD) and as a Research Assistant in a Khulna University's Research and Innovation Centre-funded project on climate change and coastal community resilience. His research interests include climate change adaptation, public health, livelihood vulnerability, education, and sustainable development.
He has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed International journals and has presented research papers at recognized academic conferences. His publications address critical development challenges in Bangladesh, particularly focusing on coastal communities, child health, and socio-economic vulnerabilities.
In addition to academia, he has been actively involved in Debate, Journalism, Theatre, Youth Development, and Community Engagement initiatives at national and divisional levels. He is also skilled in statistical and research tools such as SPSS, Stata, GIS, and Kobo Toolbox.
