In silico investigation of plant bioactive compounds & their potential therapeutic approaches against dengue virus NS5 RdRp and NS5 Mtase protein

Dengue infection become a public threat because there is no licensed antiviral drug or

effective vaccine to treat DENV and clinical or preclinical stage is undergoing of several

candidates. It has become a challenge for the scientist for discovering

antiviral therapies because of its high variability of the genome, which need a fast and

effective process of drug discovery. In drug discovery process,

enormous compound require to analyze, maintain and store which is time consuming process

but Computer-Aided Drug design (CADD) is an approach that simplifies the process of drug

discovery using many bioinformatics tools, also decrease the use of animals and increase

predictability. In this Computer-aided Drug design approach we analyzed 605

phytocompounds against the NS5 Methyltransfrase to identify the lead candidates to counter

dengue virus. Also we selected S-adenosyl-L-homocystine as a control because it is a

byproduct of SAM which bind to the active site of the NS5 MTase protein ;so we can find out

the best candidates.
