Business Administration Discipline is the only Discipline of Management and Business Administration School at present. The Discipline duly deserves the credit for introducing four years BBA program for the first time in the country. Since the inception in 1991, around 500 students have graduated from this Discipline. The graduates of this discipline have already got absorbed in the job market and proved their potentials to better serve the needs of national and multinational business companies in Bangladesh. Over the last two decades Business Administration Discipline of Khulna University has built an outstanding reputation for world-class management research and teaching. Mission & Vision:

 

Management and Business Administration School is one of the pioneering Schools of Khulna University. The School is devoted to advance, promulgate and patronize formal business education, training and research. The School is committed for the development of management practices in the country as well as in the South-Asia through its active participation in management Development forums namely AMDIB (Association of Management Development Institutions in Bangladesh) and AMDISA (Association of Management Development Institutions in South-Asia). The regular arrangement of Management Training Program for the Bangladesh Naval Officers since 1995 is evidence that justifies its commitment.

Mission

To provide management education in order to prepare business leaders who will be capable of facing the present economic challenges resulted from globalization of business and playing instrumental role for accelerating the economic growth of Bangladesh.

Infrastructure:

 

Modern Class Rooms: Discipline has well equipped classrooms with full multimedia support.

 

Seminar Library: One of the essential facilities for learning is the availability of books, journals, periodicals, so on and so forth. To ensure this facility, the School has established a Seminar Library. At present the Library has a collection of more than 2,500 books, journals, periodicals, reports etc.

MIS Laboratory: Modern business primarily depends on the facilities of information technology. Appreciating this need, the Discipline has established an MIS Laboratory. The Laboratory has 30 computers with networking and printing facilities. The students have easy access to the Laboratory during office hours.

Publication: Business Review is a half-yearly journal of the Business Administration Discipline, published in June and December each year. The journal covers various topics that are of interest to the business professionals and managers. The main objective of the journal is to publish articles, notes, comments etc on relevant topics in the field of business, economics, social sciences and allied subjects which may contribute to the development of academic, professional and administrative expertise in the business sector. All papers received are subjected to a blind review process in which they are evaluated by a panel of scholars who are unaware about the identity of the author. Comments made by anonymous reader(s) about this journal or any part thereof are highly appreciated.

Alumnae: MBAS has a well established alumnae named SEDS [SOMBA Ex-Students’ Development Society] which is actively working for the development of the students and their placement.
